Chad has spent several years in construction before enrolling in the Design and Drafting program at the University of Fraser Valley. His craving for continually learning and expending his knowledge brought him to Building Science Program at BCIT. Upon graduation with honors and a design competition award, Chad worked for a structural engineering firm, advancing his understanding of concrete, wood and steel design. In 1994, shortly after he founded his own design and drafting business, Chad joined the Applied Science Technologist Association. While providing creative solutions for every day design problems, Chad has continued to keep relevant to ever changing codes and building products.

His studies include Ventilation Certification through HRAI BC chapter, Building Code courses, advanced CAD modelling and Stream Enhancement education. Chad’s inclination to share his knowledge and experiences has led him to a blueprint teaching, through local construction associations.

Chad likes to stay active within the community as a member of the Board of Directors for Gallery Seven Performing Arts. Also, he is involved in the local soccer scene both as a player and a coach. In his relaxing time Chad enjoys spending time with his family and playing farmer on his little hobby farm.
